Board of Founders at Nova Private School
Nova Private Community has been provided licence by ministry of education for (2020 – 2021) in formal way. It comprises of (Kindergarten, Basic stage, and high school). In the first year of our service four-year-old and five- year – old students were taken in the Kindergarten.
In the basic stage (Elementary stage) students from first grade up to six grade were offered to study at our school as well. For this education year (2022- 2023) seven grade, eight grade, and ninth grade students will be given the opportunity to apply for studying at our community.
Though it is not that far since its institution, it competes with the other non-governmental schools it has an acceptable rank among the other schools. Nova school was a dream, it was an idea. Nova was created with the contribution of many gifted and united teachers. The notion of Nova Community foundation belongs to Mr. Sa’ad (the owner of the project) and Ms. Zhyan (the director of Nova). Afterwards, Mr. Saman as a vice principals and Mr. Dlshad as a designer, an accountant and the manager of the social media became the chief members of the Nova founders.
The community in Erbil received permission from ministry of education on July 7th, 2021 to let the endearing habitants of Erbil be able to access to the high standards of education that do exist in the authentic education philosophy.
Nova means innovation. It is a Latin word that means a star and a brand-new day. This star demonstrates a sudden large increase in the brightness. Our dream is granting students a new day and learn a new lesson each day.
This concept took too much time and effort until we reached to this point. The founders’ objective was offering a proper and high level of education for the generation of this great country as they knew the importance of education to develop Kurdistan. This inspiring vision for building an educational centre for the future of a nation encourages us to step forward altruistically and proceed to construct a community which is our aim is to provide an academic and educational centre, teaching and educating our country’s children by integrating our experience besides bringing the distinctive educational experience for Kurdistan children in order to incentivize them to be pioneer and always stay at the top to accomplish this dream.
In the community we abide by democratic system in order to every individual receives their rights and their efforts equally. A council has been created which composed of: Mr. Sa’ad ( The owner of the project), Ms. Zhyan ( The director of the community), Mr. Saman ( The general administration principal ), Mr. Dlshad, the member of the council ( Designer, the accountant, and social media director), Mr. Mazin ( Vice principal), Ms. Shawbo ( Vice principal), every decision and instruction will be made by this council afterwards they will be transferred to the supervisors then to the teachers and the employees.
The regular community day is five days per a week (Sunday to Thursday); they are supposed to be present in school from 8:30 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon.
Our educational system is English. The lessons will be delivered by our qualified teachers and observers who have vast experience in teaching and educating fields.
Students have extra lessons such as English language and Computer. Students study the science subjects in particular laboratory. Scientific trip and activity do exist constantly according to a specific annual schedule.
Students’ health will be examined daily by a special school nurse. The school social worker observes student’s demeanour inside and outside the class. Physical Education (PE), Music, and environment protection is concentrated on. Student’s academic level will be observed by a special school committee. Their parents will be notified about how their children are doing in the school.
Students are taught how to use computer in a special laboratory. Students are instructed to read in the library. In addition to, students are trained to be cooperative and forgiving.
A special care will be paid to the Religion subject. Nevertheless, students will be instructed to respect other religions or other spiritual beliefs. Child at Nova Community is trained to be self-reliant in terms of his skills besides students are led to discover their hidden talents and how to enhance them.
During the course of a year, Nova has strengthened its position more as a Non-governmental school due to the fact that we started and provided school curriculum in an advanced, innovative way, and bringing smart board system. Nonetheless, projector and sound system do exist in the classes. Concentrating and extending the opportunities in Physical Education (PE) and Art. Constructing closed playground with special room for boys and girls.
Concentrating culture, origin, and planting love for homeland in our students. That made a powerful educational experience. It has gained a good reputation as one of the best private school in the district within a year. This can be inspiring to develop more, search for the optimum teaching material, and focus on developing teacher and employees of the community abilities.
